Suns' Chandler will not play vs. Nets

Phoenix Suns center Tyson Chandler will not suit up for Tuesday's tilt against the Brooklyn Nets.

Chandler had been expected to play on Monday, but he was ruled out Tuesday afternoon due to a right hamstring strain.

Chandler has struggled to find his form since joining Phoenix this summer. The 33-year-old is averaging just five points per game, while shooting an uncharacteristic 46.4 percent from the field.

Granted, Chandler still remains a strong defender for his position, but the Suns are a mere 2.2 points improved per 100 possessions on defense when Chandler takes the court. He's also the team's leading rebounder (8.8), and shot-blocker (0.7).

However, that's offset by the 5.8 points per 100 possessions drop off on offense. Chandler's a classic roll man on pick-and-rolls, but that's proving to be somewhat incompatible with Phoenix's drive-and-kick offense.
