If you ask John Wall the reason behind the Washington Wizards' struggles this year, he'll tell you exactly where the problem lies.

"If you can't stop nobody, it ain't going to work," the point guard said to Jorge Castillo of the Washington Post, adding that the Wizards didn't really work on defense at all in training camp.

Washington currently ranks 23rd in the NBA in defensive efficiency, giving up 104.3 points per 100 possessions.

Wall has regressed from his All-Star season in 2014-15, averaging the lowest points-per-game total of his career (16.0) and shooting just 41.1 percent. He's also attempted to add a 3-point shot to his arsenal, but is making only 29.1 percent on 4.2 attempts per game.

The Wizards currently sit 12th in the Eastern Conference at 6-7 heading into Saturday night's matchup against the Toronto Raptors.
