76ers' Stauskas expected to be out a week

Mark D. Smith / USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia 76ers will be without Nik Stauskas for the team's next three games, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer's Keith Pompey.

The second-year shooting guard is expected to miss about a week of action due to a left knee contusion.

The 22-year-old Canadian sustained the injury during Monday's loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The 0-15 Sixers need all the help they can get as they look to notch their first win Wednesday against the Boston Celtics.

Staukus' 9.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists are also expected to be absent when his team faces the Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzles later this week.

Isaiah Canaan and Jakarr Sampson may see extra minutes at the two-spot in while Stauskas is on the mend.
