Jimmy Butler wants Mason Plumlee to pay his $2,500 fine

One way or another, Portland Trail Blazers center Mason Plumlee will pay for what he did to Chicago Bulls swingman Jimmy Butler.

Plumlee trucked Butler on a screen during Chicago's victory over Portland on Tuesday, and Butler responded by tripping him. Plumlee received a flagrant-1 foul and Butler earned a technical, which comes with a $2,500 fine.

Butler isn't happy about any of it - the fine especially - and he says he'll ask Plumlee to foot the bill.

"He cost me $2,500," Butler told ESPN's Nick Friedell. "I'm not happy about that. I'm going to ask him to pay me back - and I'm not playing."

As Butler sees it, paying the fine letting Plumlee off the hook - Butler could have taken a pound of flesh instead.

"He thought he was playing football for a second there," Butler said after the game. "It's all good though, man. I almost had to let the Fort Greene projects out of me, Brooklyn."
