Anthony in fine form in Knicks' exhibition victory

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

To be fair, the performance came against a non-NBA team, but Carmelo Anthony looked comfortable Wednesday in the New York Knicks' 100-81 exhibition win over Brazilian squad Paschoalotto/Bauru.

In his first Knicks' action since February, Anthony scored 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting in 20 minutes.

The 31-year-old, entering his 13th NBA season, was shut down after the All-Star break last season to undergo surgery on a tendon in his left knee. He said recently that he feels good and expects the procedure to extend his career.

Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis, meanwhile, had seven points, two rebounds, and a block in 21 minutes. The 7-foot-1 Latvian was 2-for-3 from beyond the arc.
