Report: 76ers finalizing deal with Kendall Marshall

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia 76ers are finalizing a multi-year contract with free-agent point guard Kendall Marshall, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski.

Marshall tore his ACL while playing for the Milwaukee Bucks in January, and will be available for the 76ers at some point in the first half of the upcoming season, Wojnarowski reports.

The Sixers will be Marshall's fourth NBA stop in four seasons. The No. 13 pick in the 2012 draft has also played for the Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Lakers.

Adding Marshall would put Philadelphia at the the 20-man roster limit for camp, but with only 12 contracts guaranteed, competition for the final few roster spots is open. General manager Sam Hinkie has said they're still exploring trade possibilities, and as it stands, point guard is a thin position for the team.
