The Sacramento Kings signed Marco Belinelli this summer - one of several offseason acquisitions - with the expectation that the Italian sharpshooter would bring his hot-handed ways to California's capital.

On Saturday, the 2014 NBA Three-Point champ showed why the Kings wanted him in the first place.

Michigan State - playing various European teams in a series of overseas friendlies - faced off against the Italian national team, a game in which the Spartans performed admirably until surrendering a late 20-4 run.

Leading the way for Italy was Belinelli, who finished with 25 points in only 24 minutes of play. The 29-year-old went 5-for-6 from beyond the arc, and also chipped in five assists for his squad.

Belinelli signed a three-year deal with Kings in July.
