Report: Kings sign Marshall Henderson to training camp deal

The Sacramento Kings have signed former Ole Miss guard Marshall Henderson to a training camp deal, reports Yahoo Sports' Marc Spears.

The 24-year-old Henderson spent last season playing in the Iraqi Super League and played in Qatar in 2014.

Henderson made a name for himself after two controversial years at Ole Miss. Henderson was an electric, trigger-happy scorer, averaging 19.6 points per game on 35.3 percent shooting from the floor. His boisterous persona and brash playing style made him into something of a cult hero of sorts.

However, Henderson was caught with possession of marijuana and cocaine in 2013, which led to a three-game suspension from his school. Moreover, it continued a worrying trend for Henderson with respect to drugs.

Still, despite his eclectic personality, there's no denying Henderson's talent, which is why the Kings are giving him a shot.
