PHOTO: Dwyane Wade predicts NBA success in high school yearbook

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat knew during his days at Chicago's Harold L. Richards High School that he would inevitably become one of the NBA's biggest stars, foreseeing his future career in a yearbook post which he recently shared on Instagram.

The yearbook's editors butchered the spelling of his first name, which is a fairly common occurrence for the 11-time All-Star. They also failed to catch his misspelling of "retiring," but, even so, the message Wade was trying to get across remained clear enough.

The now 33-year-old has three championships on his resume with Miami, a Finals MVP award from 2006, two appearances on the All-NBA first team, and an NBA scoring title in 2009.

With those credentials, and a spot in the Basketball Hall of Fame surely awaiting him upon retirement, it's safe to say Wade's younger self knew exactly what he was doing when setting his lofty goal.
