The Portland Trail Blazers have guaranteed the contract of shooting guard Allen Crabbe for next season, according to CSN Northwest's Jabari Young.

It's a logical value move for the Blazers, who will owe Crabbe just over $947,000 in 2015-16.

Portland's second-round pick in 2013, Crabbe has averaged three points per game on 36.4-percent 3-point shooting in his first two seasons. He played in a career-high 51 games last year, filling in at small forward when Nicolas Batum was hurt.

With the Blazers' roster undergoing a lot of turnover, Crabbe figures to see more minutes next season. He averaged 15.5 points on 43.8-percent 3-point shooting in four summer-league games this month, but suffered an ankle injury during the tournament. He's expected to be fully recovered by training camp.
