The Minnesota Timberwolves have bought themselves a little more time to make a decision on the future of Lorenzo Brown.

The Wolves and Brown have agreed to rework his 2015-16 contract, changing the guarantee dates on his deal and ensuring he'll enter training camp with the team, KSTP's Darren Wolfson reports.

Brown is operating under what was believed to be a non-guaranteed $947,276 contract for the coming season, and Wolfson reports Brown now has some partial guarantees. There doesn't appear to be a place for him behind Ricky Rubio, Tyus Jones, Andre Miller, and even Zach LaVine, and the Wolves have 15 players under guaranteed contract, but they seem to want him in camp regardless.

The Wolves scooped Brown up in late January, playing him in 29 games as injuries ravaged their backcourt. Brown averaged 4.2 points and 3.1 assists in 18.9 minutes, looking a little better than he had in 26 games as a rookie with the Philadelphia 76ers the season prior. The 24-year-old also impressed in 19 D-League games, averaging 16.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists while shooting 38.2 percent from long-range.
