Teague, Wall both suffer (and play through) injuries in 1st half of Game 1

Brett Davis / USA TODAY Sports

In a breakneck, up-and-down first half between the Washington Wizards and Atlanta Hawks, the two fastest players on the court came away hobbled.

Hawks point guard Jeff Teague was the first to go down, rolling his right ankle (that he injured at the tail end of the regular season) in the first quarter. The Hawks called the injury a sprain, but after heading to the locker room and getting the ankle taped up, Teague returned to finish out the half.

In the second quarter, it was John Wall's turn. He fell hard on his left wrist on a drive to the basket challenged by Teague.

The half was almost over and Wall stuck it out. His injury was also diagnosed as a sprain. Fortunately it wasn't to his dominant wrist.

He got taped up during the halftime break and was back out to start the third quarter.
