Sim Bhullar and the Sacramento Kings are set to make NBA history.

The Kings are reportedly planning to sign the Canadian-born Bhullar to a 10-day contract this week, according to ESPN's Marc Stein, which would make him the first player of Indian descent in league history.

The 7-foot-5 center is averaging 10.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.9 blocks with the D-League's Reno Bighorns, where he has spent his entire season after signing with Sacramento in August.

Bhullar, who went undrafted out of New Mexico State, was born in Brampton, Ontario, to Indian-born parents. Kings owner Vivek Ranadive is the NBA's first Indian-born owner.

According to Stein, Bhullar has dropped more than 30 pounds after weighing in above 400 pounds during summer league play last July.
