For one night, call him Ersan Ilyasupernova.

The Milwaukee Bucks managed to hang on to defeat the Indiana Pacers 111-107 on Thursday thanks to a career-high 34 points from Ilyasova.

To put it mildly, Ilyasova was on fire. The Turkish shooter connected on 12-of-14 shots, including five 3-pointers. Through pick-and-pops and a few surprise rolls to the basket, he burned the Pacers all night long.

Ilyasova's efforts were backed up by the Bucks' swarming defense, forcing the Pacers into committing 19 turnovers. Point guard Michael Carter-Williams was tremendously effective at the point of attack, racking up four steals along with 13 points, eight assists and five rebounds.

The Pacers managed to keep the game close with a flurry of 3-pointers. Indiana connected on 14-of-30 3-point tries, 10 of which came from C.J. Miles and George Hill. They finished with 26 and 24 points respectively.

With the loss, the Pacers drop a half-game back of the Boston Celtics for eighth in the East. The win for Milwaukee keeps them firmly set in the sixth seed, as they sit four games back of fifth and 2.5 games up on the Celtics.
