VIDEO: Incredible Bucks' team effort leads to Middleton layup

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Upsetting the Golden State Warriors in Oakland requires a full team effort.

The Milwaukee Bucks seemed to understand that Wednesday, leaving it all on the floor against Steph Curry and company and putting up quite a fight against the league's second-best team by record. In playing the first half to a draw, the upstart Bucks worked their tails off, never more so than on a late second-quarter play.

Lanky sophomore Giannis Antetokounmpo poked the ball loose on a Warriors' cross-court pass, hustling to beat Draymond Green to the ensuing loose ball and diving to keep it in play. From there, Ersan Ilyasova sprinted for the loose ball, colliding with Curry and launching an outlet pass behind his back as he stumbled.

That led to a Khris Middleton layup the other way, and-one.

This was all one play: Giannis and Ersan with ridiculous saves, MCW to Khris for layup+foul

It's those kind of efforts - and the requisite length to pull them off - that have the Bucks surprising the league at 32-28, ahead of their rebuilding schedule. Jason Kidd has his charges ranked second in defensive efficiency behind only, you guessed it, the Warriors.
