Lakers' Hill sustains hip flexor injury

Los Angeles Lakers big man Jordan Hill left Sunday afternoon's game against the New York Knicks with what the team calls a right quad strain and will not return.

Hill described his ailment as a hip flexor injury. He'll be evaluated on Monday.

Hill, one of only two Lakers to suit up for all 47 games this season (Ed Davis being the other), is averaging 12.5 points, 8.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists.

The Lakers are already thin enough up front to start Robert Sacre, and if Hill has to miss time, Davis and Carlos Boozer would likely see additional time alongside Sacre.

Ryan Kelly and Wesley Johnson are also options at the four in smaller lineups.

Following the game, Hill revealed to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times that he could be out for anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.
