J.J. Redick back in Clippers' lineup Friday

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Clippers will be at full strength when they take on an Anthony Davis-less New Orleans Pelicans squad Friday night.

After missing one game due to back spasms, shooting guard J.J. Redick will return to the lineup, shifting Jamal Crawford to the bench and restoring order to the Clippers' rotation. The Clippers managed to narrowly hang on Wednesday without Redick, but his absence made their lack of wing depth painfully apparent.

In 45 games, Redick is averaging 14.9 points and shooting 44.1 percent on 3-point attempts, making him vital to the team's No. 1-ranked offense and earning him an invite to the All-Star Weekend 3-Point Shootout. The Clippers have been 9.3 points per-100 possessions better this year with Redick on the court, and while a lot of that has to do with playing 93.4 percent of his minutes with Chris Paul, his presence brings balance to the team.

Crawford returning to his customary reserve role is important with the roster relatively thin, with the reigning Sixth Man of the Year free to lead second units with his 15.8 points and 2.7 assists per game.
