Pacers' C.J. Miles returns on minutes restriction Thursday

Jason Getz / USA Today Sports

The Indiana Pacers are slowly moving towards having a complete and playable backcourt.

With George Hill finally back in the fray - knock on wood - and Rodney Stuckey experiencing a sustained run of health, the Pacers will get shooting guard C.J. Miles back Thursday from a two-game absence due to a groin strain.

Miles will be on a minutes restriction when the Pacers take on the New York Knicks, according to head coach Frank Vogel.

Like most of the Pacers, Miles has struggled with his shot this season, but his issues have been more dire than most, shooting just 36.6 percent from the field and 32 percent from beyond the arc.

He's one of the very few reliable 3-point threats Indiana has, and he leads the team by a mile in both attempts and makes. But he also ranks second last on the club in true shooting percentage at 48.6.

The Pacers are 6-5 in games Miles has missed, and 10-26 in games he's played.
