Harden continues tear in Rockets' rout of Lakers

Steve Mitchell-USA TODAY Sports

Since putting up only 12 points on 4-of-15 shooting in a 131-106 thumping by the Golden State Warriors on Jan. 17, James Harden of the Houston Rockets has been on a mission.

Harden dropped 37 points and had eight rebounds in Sunday's 99-87 Rockets' victory over the Los Angeles Lakers, his league-leading 21st game this season with 30 points or more and seventh in his last nine.

More specifically, Harden is averaging precisely 37 points in his last four contests. When you add his performance from beyond the arc on Jan. 15 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Harden is also shooting 45 percent from downtown in his last six games.

Harden also did some pretty work on the receiving end of an alley-oop Sunday.

And now for something completely different: James Harden on the receiving end of an alley-oop (on ROOT).
