Monta Ellis on clutch scoring: 'I guess it's in my blood'

Dallas Mavericks guard Monta Ellis does, indeed, "have it all," including the ability to deliver in the clutch.

Following Saturday's victory over the San Antonio Spurs, in which Ellis scored 11 of his 38 points in the final 3:32 of the game, Ellis told reporters it came naturally to him.

"I guess it's in my blood," said Ellis, as relayed by Tim MacMahon of ESPN Dallas. "I've always been like that, even when I was a kid. I just love those moments, and I'll be locked in then, try to find every seam and every gap and focus on hitting the shot in the fourth quarter for the team."

Coming through in clutch moments has been something of a trend for Ellis, who's shooting 59.5 percent in the clutch (when the score is within five points during the last five minutes of a game). He's leading the Mavericks in both points (22.5) and assists (4.8).
