Heat's Wade hoping to play Sunday vs. Knicks

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is eyeing a return from his hamstring injury Sunday against the Knicks in New York.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel's Ira Winderman noted that Wade took part in some explosive drill work in practice Wednesday alongside fellow guards Norris Cole and Shabazz Napier.

Wade has not played since Nov. 12, but was averaging 19.8 points and 6.4 assists per game for a Heat squad that has gone 3-4 in his absence.
