Lakers' Price leaves game with sore right knee

Richard Mackson / USA TODAY Sports

The already thin Los Angeles Lakers backcourt might have suffered another blow on Friday night.

Ronnie Price, whose role figures to expand with Steve Nash out for the season, suffered a knee injury while drawing a charge against Sacramento Kings guard Darren Collison. The collision occurred early in the first quarter of both teams' preseason finale, with Price leaving for the locker room soon after.

He was ruled out for the remainder of the game with what the team is calling a sore right knee and will be re-evaluated on Saturday.

The only point guard the Lakers can now turn to when Jeremy Lin isn't in the game is rookie Jordan Clarkson, who was selected in the second round (46th overall) of June's draft.
