Warriors' Livingston 'highly doubtful' for season opener

Anthony Gruppuso / USA TODAY Sports

Shaun Livingston's Warriors career hasn't gotten off to a good start. In fact, it hasn't even started at all.

Livingston, who has missed all of Golden State's training camp and preseason after undergoing arthroscopic toe surgery in August, is now doubtful for the start of the regular season as well.

Livingston signed a three-year, $16.6 million contract with the Warriors in July after a solid season with the Brooklyn Nets last year.

The 28-year-old guard will give the high-powered Warriors' backcourt some added playmaking, but Livingston's greatest contribution to the team will be his length and excellent defense on the perimeter.

Of course, he has to get healthy before he can contribute.
