VIDEO: Dirk Nowitzki sings David Hasselhoff song at media day

Dirk Nowitzki's on-court arsenal includes plenty of weapons, but when it comes to karaoke, the former MVP appears to be rather one-dimensional.

When asked at Dallas Mavericks media day this week what song he would sing if he had to audition for "American Idol," Nowitzki identified "Been Looking for Freedom" by David Hasselhoff - a mega-star in Nowitzki's home country of Germany - as his go-to jam. He also sang a few bars:

If this rings a bell, that's because Nowitzki sang the same song just two weeks ago on German television, complete with an acoustic guitar. 

His vocal stylings certainly can't compete with his fadeaway jumper.
