The Utah Jazz have fallen on hard times over the past two seasons. The current iteration of the Jazz has failed to replicate the success of the previous regime, one that featured jumpshooting center Mehmet Okur.

In particular, a highly-touted pair of Jazz bigs in Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors have thus far come up short in actualizing their potential. The two are decent in the post, but both bigs have trouble shooting the ball outside the paint. That's where Okur comes in.

The Turkish center will provide shooting tips to the Jazz's bigs in training camp, according to the Salt Lake Tribune. In particular, Okur will work closely with fellow countryman Kanter.

Across 10 seasons in the NBA, Okur shot 37.5 percent from deep in his then-rare role as a stretch-center. The Jazz hope that he can impart his knowledge on players like Kanter, who shot a respectable 37.4 percent on attempts from 16-feet out to the three-point line last season.
