Tony Allen misses Grizzlies' shootaround, status for Game 7 unknown

Justin Ford / USA TODAY Sports

If the shorthanded Memphis Grizzlies weren't already prime for the taking in Oklahoma City, an unfortunate circumstance may inhibit the only player who can contain Kevin Durant from seeing the court in Game 7.

Contrary to ESPN's report, Geoff Calkins of The Commercial Appeal is reporting that Tony Allen is seeing a doctor after his eye swelled up following a Caron Butler scratch in Game 6.

Allen has done yeoman's work so far against Durant, reducing the superstar scorer to a .412 field goal percentage - the worst of his five-year post-season career.

Making matters worse for the Grizzlies is the fact that they will be without their leading scorer, Zach Randolph, after he was issued a one-game suspension for striking Steven Adams, while Mike Conley limped through shootaround himself after missing Game 6 with a pulled hamstring.
