Anthony on future with the Knicks: 'Everything for me is just cloudy'

Steve Mitchell / USA Today Sports

Carmelo Anthony will have plenty of time to think about where he'll play next season as he sits out his first postseason of his 11-year career.

Likely to be shut down for the rest of the season, Anthony could quite possibly have already played his last game in a Knicks uniform, something that has put the veteran in an uncomfortable position.

“Everything for me is just cloudy. I've never been in this situation before,” Anthony told the Chicago Tribune. “I don't know what to say about this situation. The only thing for me is to stay positive. There's going to be a lot of questions that I have, that I'm going to be asking myself: ‘Why this? Why that?' I'm pretty sure I won't find no answers any time soon.”

The Knicks and Phil Jackson will have their work cut out to retain their leading scorer, as Anthony is sure to attract plenty of attention on the open market, but the 29-year-old appears at least willing to listen to New York's offer

“When that time comes,” Anthony said of his meeting with the Knicks. “I'm pretty sure everything will be laid out, we would talk about it. Until then, I'm going to feel this way.”
