Pacers PF West believes team has hit rock bottom: "I don't know what else we can do"
Things are not so rosy in the Hoosier state.
The Eastern Conference leading Indiana Pacers lost to the Cavaliers on Sunday, 90-76. The loss dropped their record to 6-9 over their last 15 games.
Their recent floundering is taking its toll on power forward David West, who was assessed a flagrant-1 foul for elbowing in the second quarter on Sunday. After the game, West was asked if his team had hit rock bottom, to which he replied "yeah, I would say."
"We can't get - I don't know what else we can do."
However, West did shoot down the claim that the Pacers don't play hard against weaker teams, but added that "[the Pacers] should be able to bring that same sort of attention to teams like Cleveland but I don’t know what else to say".
The Pacers' recent struggles primarily stem from their lack of production on offense. Over their last 15 games, the Pacers rank 29th in the league in offensive rating. They are tied with the Miami Heat in total losses at 22, but have two more wins.
