76ers lose 26th straight game, match longest losing streak in NBA history

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The 2010-11 Cleveland Cavaliers are no longer in a class of their own. They've got good company.

The Philadelphia 76ers tied the 2010-11 Cavaliers' record for the longest losing streak in NBA history with an expected 120-98 loss against the Houston Rockets on Thursday night,

Oh, and if that wasn't bad enough ...

Philadelphia's last win came against the Boston Celtics on Jan. 29, and in order to avoid breaking the record with a 27th straight loss, the 76ers will need a miracle win against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night.

Is it a coincidence that this streak is taking place during a season that's preceding a loaded draft? We think not.
