Details of the agreement are scarce, but multiple reports indicate that Jackson's official title with his new team will be "President of Basketball Operations."
The news comes as little surprise. On Tuesday, NY Post reported that Jackson had already agreed to join the Knicks "in principle" and all that remained was for lawyers to finalize the details of the contract. The report also stated that the word "president" would be included in his job title.
Among the first to welcome Jackson to New York was J.R. Smith.
Can't wait to work with the great @PhilJackson11 #TheZenMaster
