There's significant interest in Magic forward Glen Davis after Orlando agreed to buy him out Thursday.

Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc J. Spears of Yahoo Sports are reporting that the Los Angeles Clippers are the front-runners among a number of teams interested in signing the big man.

Championship contenders Miami, San Antonio and Golden State are also in pursuit of the seven-year veteran, along with the Brooklyn Nets.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers coached Davis in Boston, with the power forward a part of the 2008 championship team.

Wojnarowski and Spears note that the Magic want to start giving their younger players more time and were concerned how Davis, who's paid $6.4 million this season and $6.6 million next season, would handle a limited role.

Davis will become a free agent Monday if he clears waivers.
