VIDEO: Knicks turn Knicks up to 11, fall to the Bucks on late basket

The New York Knicks were at their New York Knicksiest on Monday night, losing 101-98 to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Yes, those Milwaukee Bucks, the previously 8-39, last-place-in-the-entire-league Milwaukee Bucks. It doesn't get more Knicks than that.

Except it does, because the way in which they Knicksed to the Bucks (Knicksed is a verb, by the way, a synonym for "sharted") was oh-so-Knicks. With 1.4 seconds left to play, Bucks guard Brandon Knight pulled up for a three with a little too much space, draining it and putting the Bucks ahead for good.

The Bucks' Knight is not the villain Knicks fans need, but he's the one they deserve, or something.

Anyway, the Knicks fall to 19-29 overall, though somehow they're still just a game-and-a-half out of eighth in the Eastern Conference. It also continues a troublesome trend for New York, who have now gone on a five-game winning streak, then a five-game losing streak, and then a four-game winning streak. Now they appear to have started another losing skid, this being their second straight defeat.

If you want to know what the issue was on Monday, look no further than the defense. The Bucks, who average a league-worst 96.1 points per 100 possessions, scored 101 on just 90 Monday, a rate of 112.2 points per 100 possessions that would rank tops in the league.

The Knicks won't have it easy in the next little bit, either, with Portland in Gotham on Wednesday, Denver visiting Friday, and then a trip to Oklahoma City on Sunday.
