Javaris Crittenton indicted on drug charges

If you've been wondering what Javaris Crittenton has been up to since his gun-in-the-locker-room incident with Gilbert Arenas in Dec. 2009, you might be able to guess the answer.

Crittenton, who was drafted 19th overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2007, hasn't played in the NBA since he brought a gun to the Washington Wizards' locker room due to a gambling-related altercation with Arenas. In 2011, he was charged with the murder of Jullian Jones, a 22-year-old mother of four, and he's currently awaiting trial for his role in the shooting death.

But it doesn't end there.

According to ESPN, Crittenton was indicted Wednesday on drug charges in Atlanta. A source close to the investigation told ESPN that the former NBA player was one of 14 people named in the indictment that was initially the result of an investigation conducted by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency. The same source claims that Crittenton conspired to deal cocaine and marijuana in the months before he was indicted for his alleged role in a murder of Jones.

The district attorney's office says, "Crittenton and the other suspects are accused of selling multi-kilo quantities of cocaine and several hundred pounds of marijuana" during a seven month-investigation dating back to June 2012. Despite being on limited house arrest due to the murder trial, Crittenton will have an initial court appearance on Thursday morning for his drug charges.
