Report: Rip City and other 'Heritage' jerseys to go sleeved

Well, this sucks. Or, at least, it sucks for fans who don't really enjoy the NBA's new sleeved jerseys.

According to a report from CSNNW, the NBA will soon have more of those, as all "heritage" jerseys will be converted to sleeved jerseys for the 2014-15 season.

In particular, Portland's "Rip City" alternate and Detroit's "Motor City" alternate are sharp heritage looks that will be converted.

Per the report, the move isn't official yet as some teams remain reluctant to switch.

It's definitely disappointing to lose some of the best jerseys in the league for more sleeved ones, but it makes sense from the league's perspective - it's another look to market to fans, one that more fans may be comfortable wearing. We're pretty upset that the Rip City look won't be quite as tight for 2014-15, though.
