Dwight Howard upset about Magic giving out his old No. 12

As the Houston Rockets get set to host the Orlando Magic in NBA exhibition action Wednesday night, center center Dwight Howard told the Orlando Sentinel he has "no regrets" about how he left his old team, but said he was "disappointed" that the Magic  granted forward Tobias Harris' request to wear No. 12 last season.

I just think that despite whatever happened, there was a lot of things that I did and that we did as a team, and that number was special down there. And I was a little bit upset about that.

What's interesting to note is that Harris wanted to wear No. 12 as a tribute to a close friend who had died of leukemia at 17 years old, a point that Howard may or may not be aware of.

But again, Howard is comfortable with the way he handled his departure from Orlando and feels he's a better person for having gone through that experience.

But I have no regrets. I'm happy everything happened the way it happened. Even though I got hurt in the process and I had to go through a tough time, it made me a better person. I'm more mature now. I know how to handle situations different than I did back then.

It's yet another layer to the Dwight Howard saga, who, at the end of the day, seems caught in wanting to have his cake and eat it too.
