At long last, basketball is back. Well, sort of, anyway. The pre-season kicks off tomorrow night with three games, including Derrick Rose's super-long-awaited return for the Bulls against the Indiana Pacers, bringing to an end a two-plus-month dry period for domestic professional hoops, and bringing the arrival of non-exhibition basketball tantalizingly closer. 

With most of the pros finally returning to the court for the first time since May or June, it's about time to take stock of the off-season that was. You still remember most of the bolded bullet points. Dwight Howard signed with the Rockets, Jason Kidd suited up as the Nets' new head coach, the Hornets became the Pelicans and the Bobcats will eventually become the Hornets. But how well do you remember all the other stuff? The events that wouldn't quite make the SportsCenter rundown, the news that even Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc Stein don't remember breaking?
