Ah, the things that could never happen in the NBA.

Greek squad Panathinaikos was swept out of the EuroLeague playoffs this week by Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce, so owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos cancelled his team's flight and punished the players with a 12-hour bus ride back to Athens from Istanbul, according to Sportando.

However, some players reportedly refused to get on the bus - including former Washington Wizards forward Chris Singleton - and bought their own plane tickets to return to Greece.

Panathinaikos' roster also includes former Memphis Grizzlies guard Nick Calathes and former Syracuse standout Demetris Nichols.
