Nuggets, Blazers, Mavs posting near-identical ticket prices as West race tightens

Russ Isabella / USA TODAY Sports

It may not be as hectic as the Eastern playoff picture, but there is still meaningful basketball to be played in the West over the next two weeks. The Nuggets, Trail Blazers, and Mavericks are all vying for the final seed in the conference, and each are commanding similar ticket prices at home on the resale market.

On search engine TicketIQ, all three teams are posting a near identical average price over their remaining home games. Of those three teams the Nuggets own the highest average price at $124 for remaining games at Pepsi Center. The Mavericks and Blazers follow closely behind at $118 and $109, respectively. Nuggets

Only three games remain at Pepsi Center, and the Nuggets welcome the Pelicans twice and the Thunder over that time. Their April 9 contest with Russell Westbrook and the Thunder will be their top-priced game, with tickets averaging $159. March 26 will be the cheaper of the two Pelicans games at an average resale price of $96.

Trail Blazers

The Blazers will have some work to do if they hope to push the Nuggets out of the eight seed. They currently sit 1.5 games out of the spot with 12 games left to play. Nine of those games will be played at home, with seven coming against losing teams. The Spurs will be their top-priced opponent on April 10, bringing a $136 resale ticket average with them. A March 28 battle with the Nuggets, which could prove to be a big game in terms of playoff positioning, is the cheapest at an $86 average.

Mavericks

The Mavericks are on the outside looking in at 3.5 games behind the Nuggets, and their home schedule won't be forgiving through the end of the season. Among the five teams they'll host include the Clippers, Raptors, Thunder and Spurs, each with championship aspirations. An April 7 game with the Spurs will be the most expensive remaining game at American Airlines Center at an average resale price of $188. Tonight's game against the Clippers will be the Mavericks' cheapest home game, with tickets owning a $49 average.
