Nets sign Dinwiddie to partially guaranteed 3-year deal

David Richard / USA TODAY Sports

A few short hours after waiving guard Yogi Ferrell, the Brooklyn Nets have filled his vacant roster spot by signing free-agent point guard Spencer Dinwiddie, the team announced Thursday.

The deal is partially guaranteed for three years, sources told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowksi.

Dinwiddie, drafted 38th overall by the Detroit Pistons out of Colorado in 2014, has averaged 4.4 points and 2.7 assists, with an unsightly .314/.173/.746 shooting line across 46 career NBA games.

He's spent this season with the Windy City Bulls, Chicago's D-League affiliate, averaging 19.4 points, 8.1 assists, and 2.2 steals through nine games.
