The Sacramento Kings christened Golden 1 Center on Thursday with members of the team's "glory days" in attendance, including Vlade Divac, Peja Stojakovic, Doug Christie, Bobby Jackson, and Chris Webber.

Webber, who was taking a break from his TNT duties, had his No. 4 jersey retired by the Kings in 2009, and told reporters Thursday was his first time attending a game as a fan since that night. Turns out, Webber, who spent six-and-a-half years with the franchise, considered front-office jobs.

According to the Sacramento Bee's Matt Kawahara, when asked about seeing former Kings teammates Divac and Stojakovic in management roles, he said it has "crossed my mind, it definitely has."

Webber interviewed for the job that went to Divac, who became Sacramento's vice president of basketball and franchise operations in March 2015.

"Vlade is not only one of my closest friends, but probably one of the people I trust the most, ever," Webber said. "That's trusting his work ethic, trusting his dedication, trusting his passion. He knows the game. He was a very unselfish player. He can bring back that type of chemistry.

"It's just going to be fun watching him - and getting free tickets from him."
