Love claims he 'blacked out' when guarding Curry in Game 7

While Kyrie Irving has received plenty of praise for his dagger three during Game 7 of the NBA Finals, Kevin Love's defense on the ensuing possession has not been forgotten. That is, unless you're Kevin Love.

"That’s Steph’s thing," Love told SI's Lee Jenkins. "Get switched onto a big guy and break him down. It was like in Old School when Will Ferrell is on the debate team. 'What happened? I blacked out!'"

The normally slow-footed big man miraculously stayed with Steph Curry as the shot clock winded down, forcing the two-time MVP into a tough 3-point attempt to preserve the Cavaliers' lead.

"He can get separation with any of those moves," Love says. "More than that, it’s the release. He has such a quick release."

Curry will have the opportunity to seek his revenge on Love and the Cavaliers on Christmas Day, when the Warriors visit Quicken Loans Arena.
