Watch: Mozgov bangs on Pachulia, rejects Durant with chase-down block

Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports

It was an eventful night for Los Angeles Lakers center Timofey Mozgov.

The $64-million man gave the Lakers some hope that they may not have dramatically overpaid for him, showing more bounce than he has in over a year. First, Mozgov took a pick-and-roll feed and absolutely crowned Golden State Warriors center Zaza Pachulia.

Less than four minutes later, he came out of nowhere to thwart a Kevin Durant alley-oop layup attempt on the break with an impressive chase-down block.

As if to add to the absurdity, Mozgov was later forced to leave the game after a too-ambitious putback attempt saw him go down hard on his tailbone.
