Restricted free agent Moe Harkless has agreed to a four-year deal worth more than $40 million with the Portland Trail Blazers, league sources told The Vertical's Shams Charania.

The contract will be fully guaranteed with no options and can reportedly reach $42 million if he meets certain incentives.

Harkless, 23, spent last season in Rip City after being traded by the Orlando Magic - where he played the first three years of his career - during the summer of 2015 in exchange for a 2020 second-round draft pick.

He started 14 of his 78 appearances with the Trail Blazers, averaging 6.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 18.7 minutes.

Portland was one of the big surprises of the 2015-16 campaign after the roster underwent a massive overhaul, which included losing four starters in LaMarcus Aldridge, Wesley Matthews, Robin Lopez, and Nicolas Batum. Despite the changes, the team still managed to win 44 games and advance to the second round of the NBA playoffs.

This offseason goes to show that management is committed to its core group of talent. Along with Harkless' new deal, Portland has also locked in both Allen Crabbe (four years, $75 million) and Meyers Leonard (four years, $41 million), while also signing C.J. McCollum to a four-year, $106-million extension.

Harkless will likely back up Evan Turner (four years, $70 million) at small forward to begin the 2016-17 season.
