There was nothing quite like a good hearty McDonald's breakfast to get NBA great Charles Barkley going ... for practice.

During a recent appearance on Vice Sports' "COOKIES" podcast with Ben Detrick and Jordan Redaelli, former All-Star and teammate of Barkley's, Jayson Williams, told a story about how the Round Mound of Rebound would ride the stationary bike at Philadelphia 76ers practice eating McDonald's and yell at the players.

Barkley wasn't going to deny the truth when asked about the claims on "Sportscenter."

"When I got to Philadelphia, Dr. J, Moses Malone, Maurice Cheeks - they never practiced," Barkley said. "They’d sit on the side, on the stationary bike, eating McDonald's. So, once I had been in the league X amount of years, I adopted that philosophy. I had played 48 minutes the night before, I wasn’t going to get up the next morning and go to practice.

"And I always go with the egg mcmuffins and the hot cakes and sausage, too. That's the best breakfast you can get."

To top it all off, Barkley even confirmed that he'd wrap everything together for his meals, which should clog your arteries just thinking about it.
