Report: Nets shopping Jack, will waive him if no takers
The Brooklyn Nets are looking to unload point guard Jarrett Jack before his buyout deadline, The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
The $6.3 million Jack is set to make this season becomes fully guaranteed Thursday, and as the Nets have no intention of paying it, they will reportedly waive him if they can't find a willing trade partner before then. Doing so will cost them just $500,000.

Getting out from under Jack's salary would give the Nets room to accommodate two maximum contracts, but waiving him now would also strip them of one of the few assets they might use as trade bait to replenish their depleted draft-pick stockpile during the season.
Jack's 2015-16 season was cut short when he tore his ACL in January, but in 32 games before the injury, he averaged 12.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 1.1 steals.
The 32-year-old's rehab is going well and he's expected to be ready for training camp, Wojnarowski reports.
