San Antonio Spurs shooting guard Manu Ginobili doesn't appear willing to end his playing career just yet.

The 38-year-old declined his $2.9-million player option last week, but it's believed he'll sign a new deal in order to play at least one more season.

"There's a strong belief that Manu Ginobili is probably going to play another year," Adrian Wojnarowski said on The Vertical Podcast. "I think he's not tying himself to Tim (Duncan), what Tim does. It's not like, 'Hey we're going to go out together.' I think Manu feels - if he feels like he has more in him, he's going to play."

Ginobili has spent his entire 14-year NBA career with the Spurs after they selected him with the 57th pick in 1999. He averaged 9.6 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.5 rebounds in 19.6 minutes over 58 games last season.

Following the Spurs' exit from the playoffs, Ginobili said he would take his time making a decision regarding retirement.

"Of course, it's been an amazing run," Ginobili told reporters in May. "We all enjoy playing with each other. I'm so proud of having played with those guys for so many years and winning so many games, and even playing with the new guys.

"If there's a reason why you always want to come back and keep being part of this, (it's) because of the amazing chemistry, the good times, and the good people that you play with and spend time with.
