Mark Cuban appears to be swinging for the fences again this offseason.

The Dallas Mavericks owner has his sights on making a serious splash in free agency as the team tries to sign point guard Mike Conley and center Hassan Whiteside, sources tell Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

Acquiring a premier point guard and center has been at the top of the Mavericks' list for some time, and that need is heightened with Zaza Pachulia and Deron Williams hitting free agency.

There's reportedly mutual interest from both Conley and Whiteside in the Mavericks, and the front office plans to open free agency by meeting with the latter.

The focus on bringing in Conley and Whiteside means the Mavericks are likely willing to let Chandler Parsons walk. MacMahon notes that Dallas would be interested in re-signing Parsons, but only if it's unable to land its top two targets.

Conley's last season was shortened by an Achilles injury that limited him to 56 games. When healthy, the 28-year-old averaged 15.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 2.9 rebounds in 31.4 minutes with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Whiteside has established himself as one of the premier shot blockers in the league after swatting an NBA-best 269 shots last season. The 27-year-old averaged a career-high 14.2 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 3.7 blocks in 29.1 minutes over 73 games with the Miami Heat.
