Toronto Raptors forward Patrick Patterson isn't shying away from the fan base.

With the Raptors' playoff run ending last Friday after falling in six games to the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals, Patterson took to Twitter to encourage fans to approach him if they see him around the city.

The energetic 27-year-old has become a fan favorite since landing in Toronto three years ago. The feeling's mutual, with Patterson penning an article in The Players' Tribune detailing his love for playing in Canada.

"The Canadians were the loudest people in the arena," he wrote. "Yo, you don't want to get a Canadian hyped. They reach a volume that I think might be illegal in the States. It's unreal.

"And that's when our identity really started to come out. We came to understand that we play in one of the coolest cities in the world. But we don't only rep Toronto - this is Canada's team."
