ELKHART LAKE, Wis. - A moment of silence has been observed in memory of Justin Wilson prior to the start of the NASCAR Xfinity race at Road America.
Wilson died Monday from a head injury sustained when he was struck by debris during an IndyCar Series race at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania.
Many drivers at Road America placed decals on their cars in memory of Wilson. The rear bumper of the No. 52 car driven by Joey Gase, an organ donation advocate, featured a large picture of Wilson and a testimonial from his brother and fellow racer, Stefan.
Justin Wilson's organs were donated.
