Kyle Busch rolling towards the Chase

Jasen Vinlove / USA TODAY Sports

If Kyle Busch's four wins in eight races, after he missed the first 11 of the season, is any indication of what we can expect from the driver in the next few weeks, we're in for a wild ride.

There are only six races left until the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup begins, and Busch sits just two spots - and 23 points - out of the top-30 cut off.

Busch needs an average finish of 24th place in those last six races to make it into the Chase, according to NASCAR.com. It's a feat that doesn't seem out of reach with the No. 18 Toyota winning four of its last five outings.

The Sprint Cup circuit heads to Pocono Raceway this weekend - a track that Busch has never won at. He has, however, collected eight top-10 finishes in 21 career starts at the Tricky Triangle, including a ninth place finish earlier this season. His average finish at Pocono is 18.3 - just high enough to keep him in Chase contention.

The green flag waves for the Windows 10 400 on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET.
